I am Anupama, originally from Bangalore (Bengaluru), the southern part of India residing now in the UK.
Many of us have to balance work and family responsibilities on a day to day basis. Providing a healthy, easy meal can prove to be a challenging prospect. I remember how I myself found it to be a struggle having to come home after a busy day at work, having to cook a meal for the family and my starving self. I have borne this is in mind with my recipes, looking for simple, healthy yet creative solutions to satisfy such situations.
In all honesty, it all began with a course in web design that I completed as an additional interest. My passion for food and creativity were calling to be brought together in some form. Read here about my journey so far.
I have learnt a lot during my cooking/blogging years and I continue to learn every single day.

You will find here many recipes which are whole grain based and are low fat, a number of those being vegan, gluten-free too. This is my attempt to show that healthy substitutes are possible for many ingredients, without there being a compromise in taste nor variety of the dishes. At the same time, for those special occasions, there are some slightly more richer and indulgent recipes too.
Without my mother’s and sister’s blessings and support, this would not have been possible…..I hope to do justice to her recipes through this blog.
My husband and my kids who experience my creations first hand have been firmly behind me providing extremely valuable feedback.
And you all, my beloved audience without whose ever encouraging support I would not have made it this far. So my warmest thank you, to every one of you.
I sincerely hope you will enjoy reading through and trying out my recipes and ideas as much as I enjoy preparing them.
