Roasted Peanuts in microwave is a NO OIL recipe. Easy method. I have roasted peanuts for preparing chutneys or for preparing peanut laddus or just as a snack in this manner and it has always worked.
Peanuts! I have used 3/4 cup. This was just the right quantity for the size of the platter I was using.
- Spread the peanuts evenly over a microwave safe plate.
- Heat at 100% power for 2 minutes. Then bring the plate out and give it a GOOD stir. Again cook at full power for 1 minute, remove, stir, cook again for another minute at 100% power for another minute or 1/2 minute as needed and so on.
- TOTALLY for 3/4 cup of peanuts it took me 7 minutes. If you use 1/2 a cup, it will be ready in just 5 minutes!
- If unsure as to whether the peanuts are fully roasted or not, then once it cools check (if the skin peels off easily, its done OR taste one and check) and cook again for 1/2 a minute !

Please note microwaves do vary. be wary of that! Mine is a 800W. Also the cooking time will vary depending on the size of the peanuts.
